Mu Cai didn't want to tell Qin Zhongjin about the matters of their past life.

Since the other party had already been reincarnated and forgotten their past completely, telling Qin Zhongjin about his past actions would only cause embarrassment and make him seem pitiful and obsessed. It wouldn't serve any purpose.

Qin Zhongjin turned his head, his expression already back to normal: "A representation of a catastrophe."

Su Yao's eyes widened in shock and he couldn't help but turn his head to look at Mu Cai.

A catastrophe? Was Mu Cai supposed to be his catastrophe? That's impossible!

If the other party wanted to harm him, they would have done so already instead of waiting until now.

He didn't believe it.

However, Mu Cai's expression remained unchanged, and he even thought leisurely in his heart: as expected, it's like this.

According to the original storyline, although the original body had no intention of hurting the protagonist, the protagonist was still cautious of the original body due to his cold mockery and sarcasm. Later, in the story, when the current life and past life's cause and effect were revealed, the original body was closely related to the people who plotted against the protagonist and was eventually dealt with ruthlessly by them.

Upon thinking of this, Mu Cai secretly curled his lips and continued, "So, what do you plan to do now? Are you planning to get rid of me right now?"

These words, posed so naturally by the other party, caused Qin Zhongjin to frown uncontrollably. "Don't talk nonsense, I wouldn't do that," he retorted.

He continued, "It's not a catastrophe that threatens one's life, but rather, it affects Su Yao's will, making his resolve not strong enough. I will help him overcome this."

Su Yao let out a sigh of relief in his heart, thinking that if it were indeed like that, then with the way Mu Cai is, any encounter with him might be a catastrophe for everyone involved.

Nevertheless, he had a feeling that Qin Zhongjin's statement had an underlying hidden meaning without good intentions.

Mu Cai listened and curiously inquired, "There is such a catastrophe too?"

Qin Zhongjin affirmed, "Yes."

The destined catastrophe of love.

However, these words weren't ones Qin Zhongjin would voice out. As the grandson of Su Lianzhou, Su Yao might possess the ability to turn calamity into fate.

He wouldn't give anyone the chance to disrupt his and Cai Cai's relationship.

Reflecting upon the storyline, Mu Cai finally remembered his character setting as an enchanting ghost. Considering the protagonist's reaction to his attractive persona during their previous encounters, it seemed like Qin Zhongjin was planning to help the protagonist break free from the 'carnal calamity' he posed.

No wonder in the original storyline, even though the original body didn't participate in the actions against the protagonist, the latter still ruthlessly dealt with the former. Thinking of this, Mu Cai's mood worsened a bit. Qin Zhongjin was indeed heartless, no matter his past life or present life. The original body didn't commit significant wrongs, but still ended up with such a fate.

Mu Cai asked lazily, "What does the pointer in front of you represent then?"

Qin Zhongjin replied, "Fate."

He was Su Yao's fate – a benefactor capable of helping him overcome a major calamity in life or death situations. This was what Su Lianzhou had calculated earlier, which was why he let Su Yao come to find him.

However, Mu Cai misunderstood this concept in an instant.

Although he didn't understand the professional terms among celestial masters, the word 'fate' seemed to be pretty easy to comprehend. Combined with the information provided by the system in his mind, this word should be another name for 'destiny.'

Originally seated in a lounging position, Mu Cai laid down entirely, turning his body uninterestedly, "Really? Congratulations. Luckily, I just managed to preserve my own life as well."

Qin Zhongjin couldn't help but feel that the other party had misunderstood something. Just as he was about to explain, there were two 'knock knock' sounds on the door. Then, the assistant's voice came from outside, "Is Mr. Qin in there?"

With a deep voice, Qin Zhongjin responded, "Come in."

As soon as he finished speaking, the door was pushed open. The assistant walked in, bowed to the people in the room, and then addressed Qin Zhongjin: "Sir, there seems to be a problem with the new Yong Residence Mr. Zhang just bought. Apparently, members of his family are becoming ill, and he wants you to take a look at it. Would you like to refuse?"

There are many people who want Qin Zhongjin's help, but not everyone can afford his services. Even if someone has the financial resources and power to request Qin Zhongjin's services, it is dependent on whether he is willing to accept the job.

This Mr. Zhang had sought Qin Zhongjin's help in the past, mainly for advice on the Feng Shui of his house, Feng Shui of his company's location, and minor matters like naming his child. The assistant declined all these requests on behalf of Qin Zhongjin.

However, it was said that Mr. Zhang's problems had grown quite severe, so the assistant came to ask for Qin Zhongjin's opinion.

"Yong Residence?" Qin Zhongjin contemplated, "No need to refuse. Let's leave tomorrow."
