Chapter 27 (Part 11)
An hour later.
At the Judgment Office.
Yin Qingcheng's hands were trapped in specialized shackles, Cheng Xuyuan was ordered to transform into his spirit beast status and was confined to an iron cage, and was fuming, his nostrils flaring with anger.
Fu Yunci was anxiously sending messages to the Special Affairs Department outside the interrogation room, but he never received a response. Before arriving here, he made sure to bring his department ID, but for some reason, he couldn't find it now.
"According to the signs of struggle at the scene, we can confirm that these eight were not killed by the demonic spirit beasts." The interrogator looked coldly at Yin Qingcheng, "Combined with the autopsy results, it suggests they were all assassinated by the vessel after the spirit beast was defeated."
"As for the method of assassination, we're still unsure. But what is certain is that the vessel's energy is extremely powerful."
Yin Qingcheng remained silent. After a while, he hoarsely asked, "But there's more than just one vessel in the Shen Huan Continent, isn't there?"
Nonchalantly, the interrogator replied, " Among all the vessels, only you have appeared in the human's world."
"So," Yin Qingcheng frowned, struggling to accept this reality, "you're going to imprison me?"
"Until the case is resolved, you must be detained in the Judgment Office's prison and be subjected to interrogation at any time."
Yin Qingcheng took a deep breath, feeling a profound sense of despair and isolation. Before being locked in the cell, he asked, "Could you release Maoqiu?"
"No," the mage that imprisoned him replied curtly, "This Qingqiu fox has powerful energy and is also suspected of aiding you in committing the crime."
Therefore, both the little fox and Yin Qingcheng were thrown into the cell together.
The prison cell was constructed with multiple magical barriers; the innermost layer consisted of ice magic, causing a chill to penetrate Yin Qingcheng's body and making him shiver.
Yin Qingcheng sat down on a bed in the corner, hugging the furry creature tightly and rubbing its ears. He gently whispered, "I'm sorry, I've implicated you."
The furry creature drooped its ears and whimpered, expressing its profound sadness.
Cheng Xuyuan jumped out from his embrace, transforming back into his human form, and said, "We have to think of a way out — we can't just sit here and wait to die."
"With your power, we might be able to escape," Yin Qingcheng's eyes were filled with complex emotions, "but doing so would make us fugitives in the entire Shen Huan Continent."
Cheng Xuyuan sighed, "But now the only hope is Fu Yunci, can we count on him?"
Yin Qingcheng decisively replied, "Definitely not."
Time passed minute by minute, and it felt especially long in the prison. As night approached, someone brought food for the two of them. The meal was hard to swallow; Cheng Xuyuan almost threw it back up.
The experience was in stark contrast to his life outside the cell.
Unable to eat, Yin Qingcheng gazed blankly at Cheng Xuyuan with a hint of guilt on his face.
"Maoqiu," started Yin Qingcheng, "if someone more powerful than me found you, you'd probably be better off. I can only rely on your power, being such a useless..."
His eyes filled guilt as he spoke.
Cheng Xuyuan sat on the ice-cold floor, turned to look at him, and quietly said, "The only person who can be my master is you."
After all, the protagonist must be tied to the game plug-in.
Yin Qingcheng's lips curled into a smile. "Little one, you do have a sweet mouth. Don't worry, I won't abandon you."
Cheng Xuyuan: "…?" That wasn't what I meant.

As night fell, the surrounding temperature dropped drastically. Yin Qingcheng, in the state between sleep and wakefulness, found himself in an extremely cold place. In front of him, a crimson flame was burning.
However, the flame had no heat, as if it was asleep, devoid of any vitality.
While in a dreamy state, Cheng Xuyuan accidentally touched Yin Qingcheng's fingers and gave a start. His fingers were ice-cold to the bone, as if all body warmth had left them.
There was only a thin quilt on the bed. Cheng Xuyuan covered Yin Qingcheng entirely with it, which was to no avail. His body temperature seemed to be lowering even further.
Cheng Xuyuan ignited a fireball in his palm, trying to warm Yin Qingcheng's body, but found that the fireball would extinguish automatically as it approached him. Or to put it in other words, the energy of the fireball would be sucked away all at once.
Cheng Xuyuan was stunned; he tried using other energies, but without exception, all of them were absorbed by Yin Qingcheng's body.
"What on earth is happening?" asked Cheng Xuyuan, his eyes wide open with shock and confusion.
The system's voice, indifferent amidst the freezing night, responded: "The vessel has been triggered; the gate has been opened."
"Triggered? What triggered it?"
"It's top-level classified."
Cheng Xuyuan snapped impatiently, "You can either tell me or not. I want to know what to do now. If his body continues to freeze like this, it will break down completely!"
Fortunately, the system did not dare to let the protagonist die. It said to Cheng Xuyuan, "Transfer your energy to him."
Cheng Xuyuan held Yin Qingcheng's hands, trying to transfer all his energy into Yin's body. However, he found that the energy was like a drop in the bucket.
After persisting for a while, the temperature of Yin Qingcheng's fingers slightly increased.
"The protagonist's physical functions are declining severely," the system's voice informed.
Cheng Xuyuan became anxious; he tried his best to transfer his magical energy but could only change the local temperature.
He worriedly muttered to himself, "This is not sustainable..."
Suddenly, an idea flashed in his mind.
A moment later, Cheng Xuyuan let go of Yin Qingcheng's fingers, removed his short-sleeved shirt and shorts, leaving only a pure black pair of briefs. Then, he quickly undressed himself.
The next second, the young man decisively crawled into the quilt with his warm, slender body.
Yin Qingcheng's body was freezing cold, separated by a strong chest, and only a faint heartbeat could be perceived. Cheng Xuyuan took a deep breath and embraced Yin's body, facing him.
Two hearts were pressed together, one beating hastily, the other beating slowly.
"Hang in there…"
Cheng Xuyuan whispered in Yin Qingcheng's ear, resting his chin on his broad shoulder, and closed his eyes, revealing his tail.
Nine ghostly fox tails enveloped Yin Qingcheng's back, and Cheng Xuyuan pressed every bit of his skin against Yin's body.
Immediately afterward, the energy was constantly transferred to the vessel through the skin surface.
Cheng Xuyuan felt that this vessel was like a bottomless hole, and if it wasn’t for the abundant energy of the Nine-tailed celestial fox, his spiritual core might exhaust along with it in no time.
Their two young vibrant bodies were tightly pressed together, and soon, fine beads of sweat appeared on Cheng Xuyuan's forehead.
This energy transfer process lasted for almost an hour. Cheng Xuyuan, who had lost a large amount of magical energy, could barely maintain the form of his tail, and he had to grit his teeth and persist.
Late into the night, Yin Qingcheng's body temperature slowly rose, and Cheng Xuyuan was sweating even more.
By the time Yin Qingcheng completely recovered, Cheng Xuyuan could no longer hold out, falling asleep on Yin's body in a daze.

Early the next morning, as soon as Yin Qingcheng opened his eyes, he felt a heavy weight on him. He was startled and looked at the teenager on his body, seeing the fair and thin body without any cover, and the quilt had fallen to the ground.
Yin Qingcheng instantly felt like he was about to explode somewhere in his body.
"You, you, you!" Yin Qingcheng had the illusion that all of the teenager's weight was pressing on a certain part of him. "Maoqiu, hurry up and get up!"
Cheng Xuyuan opened his eyes in a daze, seeing a handsome face flushed red, and a pair of eyes filled with panic.
"I'm so sleepy..."
Cheng Xuyuan moved his body and accidentally brushed against Yin Qingcheng's hard part, which immediately woke him up. He stared into Yin Qingcheng's eyes for five seconds before rolling and crawling out of bed in a hurry.
Yin Qingcheng awkwardly pulled the quilt over his thighs and asked shakily, "Last night, did we...?"
"Last night you were nearly dead." Cheng Xuyuan didn't understand why Yin Qingcheng was blushing. "I went through so much trouble to save you!"
Yin Qingcheng suddenly remembered the dream he had last night. There was a ball of icy cold flame in the dream that grew colder as it burned, freezing him until he nearly lost consciousness. Later, another warm flame appeared in the dream, and the warmth made him yearn for it, risking getting burned as he embraced the flame...
"So..." Yin Qingcheng said awkwardly, "I slept holding you last night?"
Cheng Xuyuan sighed, "The vessel is really terrifying. Last night, I almost fainted because of you."
Upon hearing the words "almost fainted", Yin Qingcheng's fingers trembled. His gaze swept over the young, fit, and fair-skinned abdomen of Cheng Xuyuan, and for a moment he didn't know where to look. He awkwardly said, "You...you better put on your clothes first."
Cheng Xuyuan calmly put on his clothes, tossed Yin Qingcheng's clothes to him, and casually asked, "How do you feel now?"
Yin Qingcheng put on his clothes and casually created a small fireball. The bright and dazzling flame was like a miniature bonfire, catching Cheng Xuyuan's attention.
"Wow..." Cheng Xuyuan exclaimed, "That sleep was worth it."
These words almost made Yin Qingcheng choke on his own saliva. He composed himself and said, "Let's not talk about last night anymore. You saved me again, I will repay you properly once we get out of here."
Cheng Xuyuan nodded in satisfaction, "First, you have to give me all your chocolates."
As they talked, someone approached the entrance of the cell.
"The new investigation results are out. You guys can leave now."
Yin Qingcheng and Cheng Xuyuan looked at the door in surprise, seeing a figure they didn't expect - Yun Yi standing next to the tribunal staff. He stood against the light with traces of fatigue in his eyes, clearly he didn't have a good rest last night.
The interrogator reverently said to Yun Yi, "Thank you, Master Yun Yi, for assisting us in the tribunal investigation." Then, he turned his head to the two in the cell and said, "You guys should be sure to thank Master Yun Yi properly when you get out."
Both of them looked unbelievingly at Yun Yi, who had a cold gaze. The latter, unperturbed by their questioning looks, suddenly brought up a faint smile and counter-questioned, "What, do you still think I'm the bad guy?"
"No, that's not…"
Cheng Xuyuan's tongue was tied for a moment. He had even thought last night that Fu Yunci might come with his troops to save them. But he never thought that the one who would come to their rescue would be Yun Yi.
