Yet, due to the heavy impact left by the Crown Prince's bloody purge of the Royal Palace, no officials or nobles raised any objection. Those royal relatives were especially silent. After all, this is the man who didn't even spare his own mother; they were merely uncles and older relatives.
While everyone else was busy, Shen Qi was also occupied – in a battle of wits and courage with Qin Huan. Because he realised that Qin Huan wanted to confine him – or to be precise, Qin Huan wanted to hold him captive.

I will give you the best of everything..." He glanced around, "I had little time, these plants are only one-third of what the empire has to offer. It's not enough yet. I will slowly add more, not just these, but also beautiful landscapes you like. I will bring them here, in front of you. Is that okay?"
Shen Qi was speechless for a moment, his heart pounding. Qin Huan's romantic words were overwhelming. No words were needed, his expression said it all.
"I knew you would like it." Qin Huan's smile became even gentler, a hint of a seductive charm appearing, "Shall we live here from now on? No one will disturb us here."
"Live here?" Shen Qi was baffled, "But there is nothing here..."
There were no rooms, no furniture. How could they possibly live here?
"There is." Qin Huan tapped his AI device, and a tree by the pond large enough for five people to wrap their arms around suddenly split open, or rather, a door opened, revealing a room inside.
