The return of the Expedition spaceship, carrying a planet back to Earth, created a worldwide sensation.

Initially, when the connection between the Expedition spaceship and Earth abruptly stopped and the energy conversion ceased without warning — the Earth's scientists speculated that there might be a problem with the newly discovered energy star "Dawn." As they were organizing a team to send a military rescue mission for the energy extraction personnel, the astronomy department received another astonishing piece of news.

Not far from Earth, at a mere 0.0215 astronomical units away, a slightly larger planet was rapidly approaching their path.

This news terrified the scientists because it meant that this incoming planet could potentially collide with the Earth, resulting in billions of casualties. Indeed, if this planet truly hit Earth, it could obliterate the whole world.

With global scientists at a loss, desperately holding meetings, and exploring various measures to save humanity—even contemplating using the entire arsenal of ultimate weapons from all nations to divert its course—the astronomical department's observers relayed another piece of news.

The planet wasn't moving on its own; the figure of the Expedition spaceship was spotted in front of it, suggesting that the incoming planet could possibly have been brought back by the Expedition spaceship.

The Expedition spaceship was not exclusive to any single country; it was a collaborative effort among various nations. As a result, most scientists around the world knew that the spaceship didn't have the capability to drag a planet along during its journey.

In other words, humans still didn't possess the ability to control a planet's trajectory.

But if that was the case, how then could the Dawn following behind the Expedition spaceship be explained?

Could it be possible that the planet willingly followed the Expedition spaceship to visit Earth?!

As it turned out, that was indeed the case.

When the Expedition spaceship prepared to accelerate and land through the Earth's atmosphere, the planet that had been following it suddenly changed course, veering off towards another direction. Finally, as observed by the world through astronomical telescopes, this mysterious planet settled into an orbit slightly closer to the Sun than Earth, joining the eight major planets as they revolved around the Sun.

Witnessing this event, people around the globe felt disoriented. Scientists, in particular, were dumbfounded, as this phenomenon defied scientific explanation. Could it be that this planet had indeed developed consciousness and came to Earth as a guest?

As people all over the world questioned what they had seen, the Expedition spaceship finally landed successfully at its designated location. Troops lined up to receive the returning staff in an orderly fashion, forming groups to welcome Earth's workers who had just come back from space.

As the spaceship's hatch opened, the commander of the ship was the first to be helped out. Without even adjusting to Earth's gravity, he grabbed the nearest officer, urgently saying, "The planet Dawn is with the spaceship!"

The officer: "???"

It was only on this day that the people around the world learned that planets could also develop consciousness and take human form. However, this was not the most shocking news; the bigger bombshell was yet to come.

After the commander of the spaceship provided a brief report to his superior, two individuals, the ruler of the planet and Mu Cai, quickly brought into a room. They were promptly questioned by scientists and high-ranking officials from the relevant departments. The entire incident was broadcast live over the internet worldwide.

A high-ranking official from the relevant department, a man wearing gold-rimmed glasses, pushed up his glasses and asked cautiously through the glass, "May I ask why you came to Earth?"

The ruler of the planet answered without hesitation, "Because Cai Cai wanted to return to Earth."

Following this, the camera focus shifted to a young man, visible to all those watching from their homes on television, live streaming online, or even pedestrians seeing the large advertising screens on the streets.

The young man, whose hands were neatly folded in his lap, had a face of unparalleled beauty, stunning everyone who saw him. Upon hearing the planet's words, his long eyelashes trembled, and a faint blush spread quickly across his fair complexion, especially around his ears, akin to a bright gem.

This display of shyness was truly captivating.

It was only after his lover boarded the spaceship that Mu Cai finally understood his partner's identity. It turned out, he had been in love with a planet all along!

Although Mu Cai had already known that his lover was not an ordinary person, the interspecies difference between them was so vast that it left him feeling disoriented along the way back. He couldn't help but think that, had he been a woman, given all that the two had done in the mental energy field, wouldn't he have given birth to a little planet?!

Of course, the more likely scenario would be reproductive isolation between him and his partner.

Mu Cai, who had now sobered up, was somewhat embarrassed when he heard his lover's candid words. Just as he thought of asking his partner to tone down the words a bit, he noticed the man sitting beside him suddenly furrowed his brows.

Through the strengthened glass window, which could even withstand a bombing, scientists and officials could still see the scene and remained cautious. One of the scientists gathered courage and asked, "May I ask our guest from afar, is there something that you're not satisfied with?"

The planet ruler glanced up and looked at the camera installed in the corner of the wall, "Is this called a camera? Why is it always pointing at Cai Cai?"

Although he had never interacted with humans before, the planet ruler had gained some understanding of human affairs through the various mental energy fields. If he wasn't mistaken, this device could record people's activities and then be played back for others to see.

As soon as he thought about his Cai Cai being observed by others, possibly even by many people, the domineering planet ruler couldn't help but feel jealousy. His voice turned cold in an instant, demanding assertively, "Turn it off."

Sitting on the other side of the glass was the ruler of a planet even larger than Earth, capable of controlling the movements of another planet at will. With a mere thought, he could instantly annihilate a portion of Earth's population. As a result, the high-ranking officials of the relevant department immediately complied with his somewhat-reasonable request: "Turn off the camera."

The screens of all the people closely following the conversation on Earth went black, causing the face of the young man, who had amazed countless people, to disappear in a flash. They couldn't help but internally think "such a pity", and simultaneously secretly scorned the pettiness of the planet ruler.

Fortunately, even though the live broadcast screen was black, the sound was still on!

They could continue to listen to the affairs of the planet.

After the cameras were turned off, the facial expressions of the planet ruler, sitting behind the glass, visibly relaxed. An experienced official noticed this and had a clear understanding of the position that the extraordinarily beautiful young man held in the ruler's heart.

The planet ruler's face twitched, but he did not answer.

The official didn’t mind and continued smile, "The planet where your loved one lives is gradually exhausting its resources. For nearly a hundred years, humans have been looking outward for resources to support human existence and production."

"You are the target we have found; precious clean energy like spirit energy. If we can obtain clean energy from you, the future of humanity will be bright. This is also your loved one’s wish."

"I reckon," the wily official displayed a cunning smile, "that Mister Planet will not bear disappointing your loved one, correct?"

Upon hearing this, the planet ruler turned to look at Mu Cai, but found that the original smile on Cai's face was gone, replaced with a hint of panic and dismay. He did not want to see Cai in such a state, he quickly asked, "What's wrong? Is it because he's lying?"

Mu Cai hesitated for a moment, and finally shook his head, "He's telling the truth, I initially boarded the starship with this thought in mind. I thought there was no problem with collecting clean energy like spirit energy, and it wouldn't damage the environment. But now looking at you, I'm not sure anymore."

Cai's concern and affection warmed the planetary ruler's heart, and he leaned in to plant a tender kiss on her forehead in front of everyone.

How wonderful was his Cai Cai!

Nevertheless, the planetary ruler brushed a hand against his beloved's soft cheek, smiling, "Don't underestimate me. Whatever you do will not affect me. Just as no matter how much you humans interfere, the planet called Earth will continue its existence."

The planet ruler found it amusing when the concept of environmental protection was brought up. The life of a planet was measured in billions of years. The turnover of species and the evolution over tens of millions of years were merely an episode in their lives.

The humans here are intelligent. They have learned to break free from Earth's gravity and navigate through the stars. But, so what? The supposed environmental degradation they brought during these activities was merely akin to changing the outfit of a planet.

Just as the arrival of the Ice Age means nothing more to Earth than wearing a white winter coat, so too is the Permian mass extinction like a game version update. The emergence of a new dominant species is simply a change in players. What humans term as protecting the environment should be called protecting themselves. They are striving to extend their own survival time.

As a planet, Earth does not care how the species living on its surface fare. The Earth's sovereign, thus, doesn't concern himself with what these humans want to take from him.

He only cares about 'Cai Cai'.

If 'Cai Cai' wants something, it's merely an action that he will do without giving it much thought. However, encountering the human scripts taught him a lot. Of course, the Earth's sovereign would not work for other humans for free.

The veteran official, thinking he had the upper hand, watched the Earth's sovereign with a smile through the glass window. He was confidently waiting for the latter's agreement.

The man did agree, as he had supposed, but what followed was something the official had not anticipated:

"I agree, but I would like to know, what are you prepared to give in return for my resources?"

The white rabbit Cai Cai holding a small carrot and flicking his ears: "You keep turning into carrots for me to eat, aren't you tired? If you are tired, I will eat less and go find other carrots."
