As soon as the voice sounded, all eyes in the room turned to Mu Cai.
On this interstellar spaceship, from task performers to workers, from canteen uncles and aunts to the highest commander, almost everyone knew Mu Cai. Such a strikingly handsome young man would inevitably draw attention in the closed environment of the spaceship. Not to mention that Mu Cai was humble, always smiling, and eager to help, winning great affection from those around him.
When the young man standing in the crowd heard the voice, his long eyelashes quivered. An inconceivable look flashed on his face, resembling a startled little animal.
Absolutely adorable.
At this moment, the spaceship had already taken off, although it was still flying at a low altitude. Large windows adorned the hull of the lounge, providing a clear view of the outside. Mu Cai wanted to figure out what was happening. Turning his head, he saw the collapsing trees and mountains on the planet, the ground cracking open revealing deep and long fissures, which exposed the unfathomably deep abyss below.
The abyss looked like an eye, gazing in their direction.
After the deep voice, unquestionably male, sounded earlier, the commander in chief of the spaceship didn't follow the instructions. Instead, he ordered his deputy, "Speed up, evacuate immediately."
The voice was eerie, and it was unclear where it had originated. Listening to it could lead to unpredictable outcomes. The spaceship's commander was responsible for the lives of everyone on board, and could not rashly follow the instructions of this mysterious voice.
Of course, he had a little personal bias too - he didn't want to put the constantly cheerful young man in danger.
This planet was undergoing a mega-earthquake, yet the male voice wanted to see Mu Cai at this moment. The young man was slim and slender. If he went out now, would there be any chance of survival?
Therefore, without hesitation, the spaceship's commander commanded the personnel in the cockpit to accelerate, planning to break through the planet's atmosphere into space and return to Earth. After all, following the sudden earthquake, many valuable instruments they had deployed on the surface of the planet were damaged. They might as well go back to Earth for supplies.
Upon hearing the commander's order, Mu Cai became extremely anxious. He was exceedingly familiar with the voice, having heard it reiterate in his ears day and night.
He initially thought his love was on the surface of the planet, suffering the baptism of earthquakes and storms, and needed his help. But upon further thought, Mu Cai realised that the speaker's identity might not be simple.
After all, not just anyone can broadcast their voice in a surround-sound manner.
Just as Mu Cai was about to object to the commander's orders, a shocked cry came from the cockpit, "Bad news, sir! The gravity has changed, it's increasing!"
Previously, humans had calculated various aspects of this planet when they discovered it. These included the amount of fuel the spaceship needed, and the acceleration needed for a certain duration to break free from the planet's gravitational field and leap into space.
Now that the gravity on this planet had increased, the fuel they had previously prepared might not be enough, and they might not be able to leap into space. Although the spaceship would store more fuel due to factors like burning efficiency, they couldn't guarantee that the planet's gravity wouldn't change for a second time.
This planet was once hailed as the dawn of humanity, an important storage location for clean energy. Countless people had placed their hopes on it and longed for it.
However, now, the spaceship's commander looked helplessly at the ship that couldn't break free even at full speed, and the scene of collapsing mountains and tsunami waves outside. He felt like the ship had fallen into the devil's hand, with no way of escaping.
And the devil was still lurking nearby, whispering menacingly. The voice came from all directions, getting closer and more ominous, sending chills down their spines, "I... want to see Mu Cai!"
Mu Cai hurriedly turned his head and said to the commander loudly, "Sir, don't waste the fuel. Let me go."
Seeing the gazes filled with horror and worry around him, he explained, "It's fine, I know him. I'll talk to him, and he'll let us go."
The young man in the crowd raised his head. The white light from above cast an almost divine radiance on his pale face. His eyes were as bright as morning stars, bursting with determination, seemingly fearless of the journey ahead.
The spaceship's commander couldn't help but sigh in his heart.
Who in the room couldn't see how dire the situation was outside? The slim young man going out would probably be swept away by the wind! Besides, Mu Cai was the most outstanding employee under the mining team leader's command. His achievements were unprecedented, even well-known to the commander, with a single mission equaling half a year to a year's energy of a large power station!
The other party spent a lot of time on missions. Over the course of more than a year, he had been resting for almost a year. The rest of the time was spent eating and receiving physical rehabilitation. When and where could he have gotten to know anyone?! The commander worried that this devil took an interest in the young, innocent sacrifice and was lurking around, desiring to provoke him to stay and be tortured.
The spaceship's commander was in pain, but he had no choice but to agree to Mu Cai's proposal. If the other party didn't go out, everyone on this spaceship would likely lose their lives. As the commander of everyone present, he sometimes had to make sacrifices.
Even though such a sacrifice felt sinful.
The spaceship's commander felt like he could barely stand under the gaze of the other party, "We will prepare a life escape pod for you, wait a while..."
But Mu Cai interrupted him, "No need for a life pod, I can directly use a parachute packsack to go out, it would be faster this way."
Using a life escape pod required a series of preparations, including launching, which was time-consuming. He knew his partner's temperament. He only wanted to see him, there was no need to waste a life pod because of it.
The spaceship's commander was filled with mixed feelings.
He repeated "okay" several times, then turned his head away, not daring to look into the eyes of the young man below. He could only turn to his second-in-command and said, "Open the hatch."
The people in the cockpit nervously pulled the lever, feeling like it was the heaviest lever they had ever pulled in their lives.
As soon as the hatch opened, the howling wind outside and the sound of the ground collapsing became more evident. The trees swept into the air, the flying dust, and the gray sky all added a sense of doom to this desolate scene.
Everyone in the spaceship involuntarily took a step back, staying away from the hatch.
Mu Cai, carrying a parachute backpack, stepped forward boldly.
His move stood out as completely different from his surroundings, making him particularly prominent. People's eyes couldn't help but follow him. They saw Mu Cai walk to the edge of the hatch, hesitate for a moment, and ask, "How can I go out when it's so chaotic and dangerous out there?"
Mu Cai's voice was not loud, just his usual speaking volume. It was barely audible in the howling wind outside.
Everyone held their breath for him.
In such a critical and life-threatening moment, could Mu Cai's almost coquettish words to the devil be helpful? And how much could they help?
The facts proved that it was useful, even very useful.
The raging wind outside stopped immediately. The gloomy, low-hanging clouds gradually dispersed, revealing a ray of golden sunshine.
Everyone present was stunned by the sudden change in weather.
However, the young man standing at the edge of the hatch didn't notice their expressions. His white face couldn't help but show a smile. He looked down from the open hatch with bright eyes filled with hope.
Although the spaceship hadn't flown for a long time before it got caught by the gravitation of this planet, even a brief time meant it had reached a height where humans couldn't land safely on their own.
Mu Cai's soft black hair was blowing wildly in the wind. Looking at the land below that was somewhat blurry due to the distance, Mu Cai couldn't help but smile brightly, "I've come to find you!"
Though Mu Cai had seen many versions of his lover in the psychic field, regardless of what they looked like it would not affect his love. He was still eagerly looking forward to seeing his partner. He was delighted at the prospect of seeing his lover in the real world.
Thus, right after saying this, he leapt from the edge of the hatch without hesitation.
Behind him, there were exclamations of panic. Each and every person showed a worried expression. The formerly assembled group scattered like tidal water, rushing to the windows and the hatch. Everyone craned their necks to look down, trying to trace the whereabouts of their hero and anticipate what would happen next.
Wind swept across Mu Cai's face, blowing through his hair, making him squint his eyes. Yet just as Mu Cai was preparing to methodically open his parachute to cushion his fall, a sudden gust of wind came to his aid.
The wind was gentle but powerful. It carried Mu Cai all the way until he was safely nestled in another person's arms.
The planet ruler reached out his hands to catch Mu Cai, similar to many times before, letting him rest in his arms.
His young lover was exactly as seen in his dreams, even more stunningly beautiful. His soft body and warmth were even more tangible than in the dream. The eyes that looked at him were prettier than any glimmering band of stars he had ever seen.
The planet ruler bent his head and kissed the snowy white cheek of the figure in his arms.
It even tasted as wonderful as in the dream.
He said softly, "You came."
"I told you, we would meet again."
When it was determined that Mu Cai was to leave, the planet ruler woke from his dream-filled slumber almost instantly. The first thing he did upon awakening was to prepare to surface from his many years of hibernation beneath the earth to meet his young lover.
If Mu Cai could not stay by his side, then he would go with Mu Cai. Even though he was a planet that had been on a fixed orbit since birth, he could make a move for his beloved one.
It did not matter where he was orbiting before, he only wanted to orbit around one person in the future.
Thinking about this, the ruler of the planet looked at person in his arms again and whispered, "You don't want to stay, then can I go with you?"
Mu Cai's face had already turned a light shade of red, and it looked to be intensifying. At these words, his long lashes quivered. He was very shy as he finally said, "Okay. But before that, you have to learn to wear human clothes."

Cai Cai: Loving across different species is so difficult! People who don't know the whole story might think my gong has an exhibitionist fetish!
Unnamed planet ruler (for now): Others express their love and try to hold onto their loved ones by getting on their knees, apologizing, and exhausting every contact method... As for me, I express my love by pulling spaceships to keep them close.
In the real world, it's mostly warm, cozy, and filled with everyday life, mainly focused on addressing unresolved issues and enjoying sweet moments together. =w=
I'm dead 😂😂 This planet really had his way with him, huh? 😏😅
