Chapter 26
Michael, the Archangel, could no longer ignore the absence of Yahweh in Heaven.
He was frustrated with himself for his late realization.
Angels, regardless of their ranks, generally could not freely enter and leave Heaven. This could only be achieved with the approval of a high-ranking angel on duty. Michael was so preoccupied with protecting Yahweh, he exclaimed, "Who approved his application to descend to the mortal realm?"
He gathered all the archangels and questioned them outright. The Messiah calmly stepped forward to shoulder the blame for God.
"It was me."
"Messiah! You!"
Michael was furious. If it were any other companion, he would have been able to punish them. But the Messiah was his peer, and only God had the authority to punish him.
Swallowing his anger, Michael forced a smile, "Revoke your previous approval. Until Yahweh officially becomes an archangel in our ranks, no one is allowed to approve his applications anymore." Unfazed by Michael's furious demeanour, the Messiah thought for a moment and stiffly replied, "I'll try."
Michael: "..."
Gabriel covered his mouth on the side, nearly laughing at the sight.
Metatron stepped up again to mediate, "Michael, what's most important now is to bring Yahweh back. As for these issues, let's discuss them later."
"I'll go find Yahweh!"
Michael eagerly took on the task, leaving the Archangel's palace with his red hair flying and an air of determination.

With the privileges of an Archangel, carrying out tasks was much more convenient than for ordinary angels. Michael checked the records of Yahweh's departure from Heaven a few days ago, only to find no trace of him. He was annoyed that the Messiah had even helped Yahweh hide such a matter. It was too much!
Michael asked the angels who frequently traveled between Heaven and the mortal realm if they had seen Yahweh. However, only a few high-ranking angels had seen him, and the search was repeatedly disappointing. Finally, he found an angel who had seen Yahweh, "I've seen Prince Yahweh. He often goes to the western part of the mortal realm, where there is said to be a beautiful little grove."
When Michael asked for the location, the angel hesitated, "It seems to be hidden by a barrier."
Michael held his forehead.
What was this if not a secret meeting!
Because of this matter, the small grove in the west became the scene of an archangel attacking a barrier.
Michael was not proficient at dispelling barriers, so he slashed the barrier a few times with the sword of divine flames. It swayed, but held up. Judging by the level of the barrier, Michael knew who was seducing the archangel of Heaven! It had to be Lucifer, whose power surpassed his own!
He couldn't take it anymore.
He still had to insist on his position though, "Lucifer, bring out Yahweh!"
Inside the barrier, in the small grove, Michael's shouts echoed.
Upon hearing Michael's words, Lucifer glanced at the calm Yahweh beside him, "Remember to erase your tracks next time."
"What should we do now?" asked Yahweh.
Playfully wrapping his arm around Yahweh's waist, Lucifer replied maliciously, "Leave him to me."
He had been worried about how to catch this red-haired angel who excelled at escaping. If Michael were to foolishly barge into his hands, bullying Michael would just be a matter of time. Lucifer would make sure that the former subordinate understood that even if his superior officer had left his position, he was still his former superior, and his privacy should be respected!
Yahweh stood and watched the events unfold.
In no time, he witnessed the transformation of the landscape and various screams of terror.
And also...he had an entire view of Michael's beautiful, fiery-red long hair turning into a messy mop.
Like a red fox with its tail on fire, Michael, panicked and ruffled, didn't mind Yahweh. He desperately fled from Lucifer's grasp, disappearing into the distance. His golden wings didn't dare to show in front of Lucifer. He could fly, but so could Lucifer, and he was always faster, they had plenty of experience grappling in the air.
Michael was in utter despair.
Why was Lucifer even more brutal than when he was still an angel!
Having dealt with Michael, Lucifer dusted off his sleeves and returned to be met with Yahweh's curious gaze, seemingly surprised that he let Michael go so easily.
"He was your subordinate once. Don't you hate him?"
"Why should I hate him?"
Lucifer asked back with a light chuckle, his demeanor serene, showing no traces of the ferocity he displayed while chasing Michael.
He took Yahweh's hand, the barrier once again concealing them from view. As they walked back, he casually gave an example, "See, the wind blew a bird's nest off the tree. Should the bird returning home blame the wind?"
Yahweh pondered, "No, you should go and check if there are any eggs in the nest."
Lucifer: "…"
His significant other had him go to the place where the bird's nest fell. There were no eggs in the nest, just a baby bird chirping pitifully, dazed from the fall.
Yahweh gently stroked the chick, and the mostly featherless bird immediately brightened up and snuggled into his palm.
It didn't know who Yahweh was, but it could feel the warmth.
"Chirp~~"
The nest was returned to its rightful place, even reinforced with a few branches. Only then did Yahweh take his hand back, admiring his handiwork. Lucifer glanced at him, then turned his head away to stifle a chuckle. Yahweh's aesthetic sense was indeed excellent, but apparently, his handyman skills were not.
After sending off the self-admiring Yahweh, Lucifer took a moment to look at the forest they had just left, watching a large bird smoothly pass through the protective barrier and fly into the branches.
The world was still mostly beautiful.
Yahweh seemed to sense his thoughts and nodded. "Although life and death are inevitable, the ant strives to live."
Lucifer tousled Yahweh's smooth silver hair and changed the subject. "Don't overthink."
Yahweh sulked.
He was not overthinking.
Their time together was limited, Michael leaving didn't mean Heaven had no objections. Before leaving, Yahweh hadn't forgotten something he had been trying to achieve for nine years. He lay in Lucifer's arms, his mind wandering, his fingers naturally slipped into the black robe's collar, openly caressing Lucifer's chest.
Lucifer tickled by Yahweh's restless fingers, grabbed his hand. "What are you trying to do?"
Golden eyes flashed sharp determination, "Heal your heart core."
With those words, he triggered his power, leaving no room for Lucifer to refuse.
A strong life force was injected into the scar-ridden heart core beneath his chest!
Lucifer's gentle face turned cold, "It's pointless, Yahweh."
This wound was left by his obsession. Before letting go of his hatred, Lucifer did not intend to forget what happened at the creation celebration. He resisted with his dark power, wiping away the pure life force. Unexpectedly, even in this situation, Yahweh didn't pull back. He increased the input of his power, pushed Lucifer down on the ground with a strong force.
Sitting on top of Lucifer, the silver-haired angel had a determined gaze, a hint of majesty shone forth from his eyes.
"Don't be reckless."
"You hate God, but don't be foolish enough to torment yourself."
A trace of puzzlement surfaced on Lucifer's handsome face – was Yahweh admonishing him?
Yahweh silently muttered to himself: I've always felt uncomfortable looking at this scar.
Everything about Lucifer was perfect, his beauty was partly gifted by God and part was his own temperament grown over many years. Only this scar broke that perfection. It was as if it were a mark of mourning, each time it stung Yahweh's eyes, eliciting an indescribable regret.
"Lucifer, would you let me heal it?"
Against his resistance, Yahweh begged.
Lucifer didn't speak.
Yahweh leaned down to kiss his lips, his juvenile sucking made Lucifer loosen up a bit. In that moment of respite, he transferred his power into the heart core, mending the cracks on it.
The raven-haired Satan lay amidst the flowers, his eyes slightly vacant as if lost in a distant past.
Was he missing Heaven?
Was he... possibly missing 【me】?
Yahweh was uncertain of Lucifer's thoughts. The present Lucifer was not so easy to decipher, even a headache did not yield answers. However, the upside was that Lucifer had relaxed his body. He let Yahweh's powers seep into his fragile heart core, not worried at all that the angel might harm him.
Yahweh felt as if he were comforting Lucifer's heart.
"Luci."
He whispered his name lovingly.
"Hmm."
Lucifer replied in a way similar to Yahweh, a faint yet genuine smile tugged at the corner of his lips.
The legend says that Satan’s smiles could cause even the purest angels in Heaven to fall. Yahweh found some truth in this saying.
Hadn't he already fallen?
Using a kiss to make his point, Yahweh obediently said, "You're not allowed to smile like that at other creatures."
Lucifer remarked, with a trace of intrigue, "I can't guarantee that when you're not around."
Sensing that the old injury on his heart core was healed, Lucifer marveled at Yahweh's power for a moment, then swiftly overpowered the silver-haired beauty who sat astride him. Sounds of playful wrestling emanated from the flower bed, the flowers rustling and swaying in joy for this most unique couple.

After their date, Lucifer bid Yahweh goodbye and both returned to their respective places.
What differed was while Yahweh had to figure out how to deal with Michael, Lucifer only had to handle his few subordinates - to get rid of their disdain for Yahweh.
Samael gave a really strong assist.
"After His Majesty found his lover, there have been more smiles."
This simple statement left Beelzebub, who had been holding back his jealousy, stupefied. Not just him, Asmodeus and Baal opened their eyes wide and remembered what they had been ignoring. The difference between when Yahweh was around and when he was not was stark. The previously expressionless Lucifer, even if a demon wanted to make him smile at a party, he had to consider whether it would anger the King.
Leviathan happily said outright, "His Majesty loves to smile now!"
The chaos dragon lept into Lucifer's arms, its childlike face full of sincerity, "Your Majesty, please marry the Queen of Hell back!"
Lucifer broke into a laugh.
He didn't expect Leviathan to be the first to accept Yahweh.
