Chapter 27
The healing of his heart core greatly improved Lucifer's spirit, releasing him from the long-suppressed sorrow that plagued him. It was as though he had released some shackles, making new contact with the world. His expression was noticeably more relaxed.
Satan's changes were evident, and they were moving in a positive direction. The Seven Deadly Sins, oblivious of their king's history of self-loath, mistakenly believed that all of this was due to Yahweh's influence. They had to swallow their grudges, reluctantly accepting Yahweh's role as Satan's lover.
Of course, this was only temporary.
They needed to examine Yahweh further, ensuring that he wouldn't betray the king for Heaven.
At the recent celebration held in Hell, Lucifer watched the chaotic banquet, sipping wine leisurely on his throne. Occasionally, he would imagine what Yahweh looked like when drunk. His thoughts were racing, and his smile became tender and ambiguous, almost gluing the eyes of several demons onto him.
The demons swore they had never seen Lucifer smile like this in their lifetime!
"Truly dazzling," was Cain's judgement.
Standing beside a seductive witch, his gaze lingered on the Lord of Hell. He had fervor in his eyes, but also reason. There were too many demons who had offered themselves to Lucifer, but so far, none had been successful. It was sufficient to suggest that Lucifer had no interest in engaging with demons.
Cain couldn't deny a twinge of regret in his heart.
Confronted with such allure, there probably wasn't a demon who hadn't entertained wayward thoughts deep inside.
Upon hearing his praise for Lucifer, Lilith, who was wearing a pearl mask, smiled at him, "How will you know it's impossible if you don't try?"
Lilith licked her full, rosy lips, appearing like an enchantress in the night, exuding a captivating charm everywhere she went. Under Cain's watchful eye, she approached Lucifer, unintentionally encircled by the Seven Deadly Sins. Suddenly, she feigned a trip, falling next to the dark throne. Her wine-red long gown accentuated her graceful figure.
With alluring eyes, Lilith softly said, "Your Majesty."
This ploy left all the demons and fallen angels present dumbfounded.
Samael turned away disgracefully, refusing to watch Lilith trying to seduce Lucifer. Belial nudged him, asking confusedly, "Isn't she your lover?"
Samael replied coldly, "We broke up a long time ago."
During their conversation, Lucifer addressed Lilith who had tumbled at his feet. He reached out, taking off Lilith's mask as if bestowing a favour to a subject.
Below the mask was the gorgeous face of a woman.
There was a lovelorn look in Lilith's eyes; her every move was enchantingly alluring, giving a clear representation of her character. As long as no love was involved, she would make an excellent lover and bedmate. In times gone by, Lucifer might have found her attitudes enticing, engaging with her a few times, but now—
Lucifer reattached Lilith's mask to her face.
Lilith was dumbfounded.
"Your Majesty?"
"It won't do," Lucifer's finger touched his lips as he spoke lazily and elegantly, "My lover would get upset."
The frenzied atmosphere at the celebration stilled, all high-ranking demons and fallen angels at the celebration recalled the rumours that Satan had a mysterious mortal lover, later confirmed to be an archangel of heaven. The recent incident of the latter, disregarding Satan's reputation, had escaped from Hell, was still fresh in their minds. Could it be that they reconciled?
Suddenly, the celebration was filled with a sour mood.
Beelzebub and Asmodeus also quietly expressed their jealousy.
Samael rubbed his forehead, lamenting over Lucifer's level of popularity in Hell. There were so many skilled individuals in Hell, yet none could impress Lucifer.
An angel had managed to outdo them!
"You've all heard of him," Lucifer hushed the crowd, "Let's keep it a secret... a secret of Hell."
"He will be my lover, the only one for now."
Under the watchful eyes of the crowd, Lucifer announced Yahweh's position in Hell for the first time. Despite his seemingly frivolous demeanor, his absolute authority radiated throughout the crowd, leaving the demons drenched in cold sweat. They were reminded of the Lucifer who had once walked over countless bodies to sit on the throne of Hell.
The fallen angels revealed fanatical looks in their eyes, their deep-seated envy and hatred masked by the knowledge that their King was involved with a seraph.
Indeed, their King's charm was boundless, enough to beguile a seraph!
Such fanatical devotion could never be reasoned with.
The demons reluctantly watched over Lucifer, who was the epitome of dark beauty, as if a treasured possession they were guarding with their hearts had been suddenly stolen away by a stranger. Following the loss, they had to congratulate the thieves with a smile on their faces.
Their hearts hurt.
Cain clutched his chest, eyes welling up with overly dramatic, tearful disbelief, breaking the eerie silence, "Your Majesty, at least leave us a chance."
Lucifer found amusement in Cain's bravado, "Oh? You're welcome to try."
Instantly, Cain shrunk back, he wanted to possess Lucifer, not to be possessed by him.

Every event in Hell was noticed by God, including Lucifer's declaration of love. Normally as the Creator, He would not need to observe such matters. However, at a momentarily distracted lapse, the usual reflections of the world in His eyes waned, replaced by the unchanging darkness reflected from Hell.
More precisely, He was staring at Lucifer standing at one end of Hell.
His shining morning star.
The grand cathedral was left with only the sounds of the Book of Genesis turning over in its sleep. It rolled back and forth on God’s lap, abruptly waking Him from His observations of Hell.
God nervously stroked the cover of the Book of Genesis, just nine years had passed, and He found Himself caring more about Lucifer.
Was it because they had been intimate?
He subconsciously touched the arm that had once been corroded by chaotic darkness, where there was no longer any pain, thanks to Lucifer who had removed that power for Him. At the very beginning, when the world was chaotic, darkness came first. Only when the darkness reached its peak did light birth, and He vaguely remembered spending countless years in the coldest, darkest places.
When He awakened Himself in the realm of light, He became divine.
The light gradually began to devour the realm of chaotic darkness.
Madly chaotic and destructive, the chaotic darkness noticed something was awry too late, God had already grasped a higher level, forming his divinity.
Chaotic light shaped a god of light that could suppress the chaotic darkness with all its power.
This was the origin of His birth.
From awakening to genesis, God didn't hide his loathing for darkness and deliberately overlooked the demons of Hell. He even used the power of chaotic darkness to create Hell when he created the world, saving his own power to transform the darkness. After that, He sealed the last power of chaotic darkness in the abyss.
He made it howl eternally, forever looking up to Him from the deepest place in the world.
The results were tragic.
Both parties were injured, the world fell out of balance.
Hundreds of thousands of years after the creation of the world, when light became too powerful and darkness faded, His created world fell into a state of impending collapse.
Finally, under the prompting of the Law, He reached out and cast Lucifer, his most beloved, into Hell.
The archangel's resentment resulted in the continuation of the world.
"Lucifer…" God's gaze shifted slightly, His fingers came together, clutching the Book of Genesis. He would never forget Lucifer's disbelief, the Archangel falling into Hell, his holy wings unable to spread. The cry Lucifer let out nearly penetrated time and space, still echoing in His ears today.
The Book of Genesis was awakened by His strength, shivering from pain, and patted Him with its hard cover.
Only when it finally managed to get away did the Book of Genesis see God's calm, deathly expression and confirm that He was not as talkative as He was in the Yahweh state, "God, are you thinking about the past again?"
God said indifferently, "I have not done so for quite some time."
The Book of Genesis didn't want to say anything more. How long could it have been? Tens of thousands of years are nothing more than a drop in the ocean in the lifespan of a deity.
"If you miss him, then go to see him." The Book of Genesis played the part of a counselor.
God remained silent.
The Book of Genesis was puzzled, why did God's mood change like the weather in the mortal world? Didn’t He used to be passionate about dating?
"I was thinking——" God's gaze was vacant, His voice seemed ancient, "After the balance of light and darkness, whether Lucifer could return to heaven. I would bring him back personally, tell him all the truth, and let him come back to my side, standing before the throne."
The Book of Genesis: "......"
Help, what daydream is God having!
The silver-haired deity lowered his head, a few strands of hair falling on the book, ice-cold, "Do you also think I am deluding myself?"
The Book of Genesis sincerely wrote, "Yes."
The hard strokes of the text on the white paper quickly wrote out a sentence without punctuation due to annoyance: "God, are you lovesick or has Lucifer stimulated you? Why are you thinking about such unusual things today!"
God tore this page without sadness or joy, then spoke under the screams of the Book of Genesis.
"Silence."
With this divine command, the grand cathedral fell ominously silent.

When He descended to the mortal world again, a whole month had already passed. God met with Lucifer just like Yahweh had done before, waiting patiently in the little grove. Back then, Yahweh had succeeded in meeting an irritated Lucifer. However, this time, Lucifer had not done anything wrong. The one at fault was... He, who had failed to keep an appointment.
God pondered for an entire day. His golden eyes were restless, and ultimately, He couldn't bring himself to end their relationship.
【It's already wrong.】
【He could only continue with this mistake.】
The thought urging Him to descend to the mortal world roiled incessantly in the depths of His heart. God suppressed the emotions He shouldn't have and impassively opened a space-time portal.
He went to the mortal world to meet Lucifer, who was waiting for Him there.
Within the grove, Lucifer finally saw Yahweh. However, the cold gaze from the other party made him stop in his tracks, almost believing a divine punishment was imminent.
The word "almost" is key because Yahweh extended his hand to him.
Just like always...
"Lucifer."
He smiled faintly, a hint of warmth only in His eyes, the chill around Him dissolved, He seemed more welcoming, as if He had descended from the divine throne.
